Please join us Wednesday, June 27th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the opening reception for What’s the Point?, a group exhibition featuring geometrically themed assemblages, paintings, photographs and works on paper by 19 emerging and established artists.

What’s the Point? examines the use of geometrics in contemporary art making, from its emergence in New York during and after WWII to today’s new generation of artists, who are challenging themselves through the use of non-traditional mediums and materials. It is this trajectory of artistic practices, which lifts geometrics from pure line and shape to question and ruminate on contemporary life, that the exhibition seeks to explore.

The exhibition features work by: Josef AlbersKy AndersonJordan BernierAndrew BrischlerChristian Chaize,Matthew CravenCorey DriethJessica EatonEllsworth KellyGregory KrumSol LeWittCarrie MarillJason MiddlebrookLaura NewmanDevin RutzJoel ShapiroJessica SnowMia Taylor and Michael Zelehoski.

The exhibition will be on view through August 4th, 2012.
